Hungarian Sports Writers Association continues the fight against illegal betting

BUDAPEST, September 23,2011 -The Hungarian Sports Writers Association will host an international symposium on Illegal betting on September 27, in Budapest.

World soccer governing body FIFA, UEFA, International Olympics Committee as well as AIPS have been on the forefront of spreading the message against illegal betting.

Risto Nieminen, President of World Lottery Association will address the Hungarian symposium on the Match-fixing scandals around the world with European Sport Security Association Board member Antonio Costanzo, addressing the gathering on the contribution of the Sports betting operators in protecting sports against illegal betting.
AIPS President Gianni Merlo will focus on the role the media plays in highlighting match fixing scandals.

On the Hungarian front ,Németh Iván, who is the country's representative of Remote Gambling Association will look at the effects of free and regulated markets and issues concerning Internet betting while Czene Attila, State Secretary of Sports of the Hungarian Government will detail the steps being taken regionally to clean the sports.

The international forum will be preceded by the Annual General Assembly of Hungarian Sport writers Association on September 26.
