Dear Olympians, Coaches, Athletes, Fans and other sport enthusiasts,

The idea of Fair Play is an integral part of both ancient and modern Olympic Games. Without this value the Olympic movement would lose of its credibility and its unique force to attract millions worldwide.

The influence of the Olympic spirit has special importance on human society, on a society, we are all part of: everyone wins with fair play!

I ask you to embrace and strengthen the idea of Fair Play during and beyond the 2014 Winter Olympic Games!
