Organizing Committee is working on the World Fair Play Day
The Organizing Committee of the World Fair Play Day held an online meeting where the final refinements were made. On 7 September 2020 the World Fair Play Day will be announced in Brussels.
Four organizations cooperated for the announcement of the World Fair Play Day, which will be a worldwide event every year on the same date, on 7 September. The Presidents of the four organizations attended the online meeting, Mr. Jenő Kamuti, from the International Fair Play Committee, Mr. Pierre Zapelli, from the Panathlon International, Mr. Christian Hinterberger, from the European Fair Play Movement and Mr. Philippe Housiaux, from Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles. Colleagues from the four organizations clarified all the details at the meeting, only fine-tuning is left.
The World Fair Play Day is a sports initiative designed to promote Fair Play and Ethical Values in sport. Everyone in sport both on and off the pitch is invited to highlight fair play initiatives, projects and successes every year on this date. This year, on 7 September, the first global World Fair Play Day will be inaugurated in Brussels with both formal signings and local sports activities and events.
