YOGGL Plays Fair
Yoggl is the official mascot of the Innsbruck 2012 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games. He is a chamois which lives in the steep and rocky mountains surrounding Innsbruck. His name is a short form for Jakob, 'Joggl', which is very common in Tyrol. Additionally, Yoggl is the compound of this nickname and the acronym of the Youth Olympic Games, YOG.
This cute mascot can be seen at every competition venue and he is part of the scene in the Congress Innsbruck too, which is the hub of the Culture and Education Programme.
Yoggl visited the fair play pavilion and played one of the board games featuring different situations where a decision has to be taken in the spirit of fair play by the participants. Yoggl of course plays fair, respects the rules and his fellow players such as his opponents. For his fair play behaviour, he was awarded by a fair play pin.
