The young athletes can collect special fair play pins as a nice memory from the University Games.
Dr. Jeno Kamuti, President of the CIFP said: “I was overwhelmed by the positive welcome of the FISU family. The local organisers do an excellent and professional job – based on my personal experience I can tell that this is one of the best Winter Universiade and it is a privilege for the CIFP that we can spread the fair play spirit among the young generation. It is already a tradition thanks to our strong and fruitful cooperation with FISU.
Mr. Kamuti added: “The Opening Ceremony was a spectacular show and it was a great honour that the 29th Winter Universiade was declared open by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Furthermore, I was proud and moved by experiencing that FISU President Oleg Matytsin and IOC President Thomas Bach both emphasized the importance of the spirit of fair play in their speeches.”
