Incredible: Nastassia has lost the long jump gold and $60,000 dollars because of a hairstyle

Incredible: Nastassia has lost the long jump gold

DAEGU, September 3, 2011 - Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova, the pretty 22-year-old Byelorussian should take heed and think about changing her hairdresser

Why? Just look at what her hairstyle, a long ponytail has robbed her of.... In her third attempt in the long jump final Nastassia executed the best jump of her green career. Upon landing her body has left a trace on the sand that could guarantee her a measure of about 6.90, as is possible to understand by photographic evidence, and that measure would certainly have given her the Gold medal and a nice $60,000 cash prize.
But she could not have imagined that her swinging ponytail hitting the sand could have left a mark that would cancel all her dreams. Thanks to RAI technician Luca Fedrigo we found the right image – he was the first to realise that something was not quite right with the hair. From the tribune there were some protests because they could not see the ever-so-small indentation left by the ponytail, but the judge has made the right decision.

Nastassia has lost the gold, silver and the bronze and came fourth with a jump of 6.74.

This is the craziest thing that has ever happened at a world championships!
