Fair Play at the 2025 World Fencing Championships
The International Fencing Federation /FIE/ has been focusing on presenting Fair Play for years. This was the case this year as well, both at the Junior & Cadet World Championships in Wuxi, and at the Senior World Championships in Tbilisi.

FIE's Fair Play activities include, among others, publishing the annual Call for nominations and operating a stand where they meet competitors, coaches and officials in person. Visitors receive materials that provide easy, understandable information about Fair Play and they can play games that symbolize team spirit and cooperation.
These pictures were taken in Wuxi and in Tbilisi. Both stands were operated by the President of the FIE Fair Play Council /FFPC/, Gabor Deregan, who is also the Executive Director of the CIFP in his other capacity, and Omneya Hussien, Member of the FFPC.
The booth was visited by the FIE Interim President, Abdel Moneim El-Husseiny, Secretary General, Gulnora Saidova, FIE CEO, Nathalie Rodriguez, Administration Director, Elena Murdaca and several other FIE officials, Executive Board, like Henriette Tamás, FIE Vice-President, and Committee Members. CIFP Honorary President, also FIE Member of Honour, Jenő Kamuti visited the stands as well.
"It is important to introduce Fair Play to young athletes so that they encounter the term, look it up, and become aware of the values. Seniors are examples for spectators, for young fencers, and last but not least, for coaches. Not only as competitors who practice the sport at a high level and who can be learned from, but who are role models on and off the piste." - said Gabor Deregan.
