General Assembly and Council Meeting
The International Fair Play Committee held its General Assembly and Council Meeting the day after the Award Ceremony in Budapest. Important decisions have been made, including on the 2021 Fair Play Awardees.
The Council of CIFP meets twice a year, the members have now met again in person after a long time because of the Pandemia. Those members who could not come online could join the meeting. The Council listened and accepted the report of the President, the Secretary General and the Treasurer. Considering Norbert Müller is no longer among us the Council elected a new member, Hanna Wawrowska, from Poland.
The Council decided the Awardees for the year 2021. It was not an easy task, as plenty of nominations were received from all around the World, which we thank again this way.
Among other topics, the members discussed activities for the next period, including next Award Ceremony and appearances in competitions.
The General Assembly was held in the afternoon of the day. The International Fair Play Committee welcomed all guests from different NOCs, IFs and other partners. Who was not present online could join the meeting.
After the reports participants could get to know how the organization works, what activities are running and will run in the close future, the objectives & challenges for the next cycle until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Guests discussed actual topics like the impact of the Russian-Ukrainien conflict on global sport and the transgender participation in women’s sports.
Finally guests admired the children's drawings exhibited on the walls.
