City of Mardin, the excellent host

The city of Mardin in eastern Turkey hosted the annual continental Fair Play Award Ceremony. Many Turkish awardees received the award in their own country, which was a source of particular pride for them.

The guests were greeted, among others, by Erdogan Aripinar, President of the Turkish Olympic Committee Fair Play Commission, vice-President of the International Fair Play Committee. Several former Turkish World Fair Play Awardees were present at the event, such as Remzi Yilmaz and Bilge Donuk. 

A congress was also held in Mardin, where a history book about Fair Play by Sevim Güllü was presented.

The head of the local organizing team, former continental Fair Play Awardee, Mehmet Samsa and his colleagues were excellent hosts of the program in Mardin.

 

The International Fair Play Committee was represented at the event by Gabor Deregan, Executive Director.
