ERDOĞAN ARIPINAR HONOURED WITH INTERNATIONAL FAIR PLAY DISTINCTION

Erdoğan Arıpınar has been awarded the title of “Fair Play Ambassador of Algeria” and the Diplôme d’Honneur by LEGISPORT, a French institution accredited by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Fair Play and the fight against violence and racism in sport.

ALGIERS (TSA)- The winners of the 2025 international campaign organised by LEGISPORT, under the theme “Knocking Out Violence and Racism in Sport”, have been officially announced. As part of this initiative, which is carried out with the approval of the French Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinated from Marseille, Erdoğan Arıpınar, Vice President of the CIFP – International Fair Play Committee, has been granted the title of “Fair Play Ambassador of Algeria”.

Alongside this honorary title, Arıpınar was presented with the Diplôme d’Honneur, an internationally recognised distinction awarded to individuals who demonstrate long-term commitment to ethical values, Fair Play education, and the promotion of respect and integrity in sport. The diploma represents a formal acknowledgment of Arıpınar’s role in introducing, promoting, and institutionalising Fair Play principles in Algeria through education, advocacy, and international cooperation.

The Diplôme d’Honneur was officially handed over in Algeria by Mustafa Bouhadi, President of the National Sports Authority of Algeria and holder of the World Fair Play Diploma, acting on behalf of LEGISPORT and the campaign’s organising body. The ceremony underlined that Fair Play is not limited to competition, but is a universal ethical framework encompassing education, governance, and social responsibility in sport.

With this distinction, Erdoğan Arıpınar is expected to further strengthen Fair Play awareness programmes, educational initiatives, and international collaboration efforts in Algeria, contributing to the global Fair Play movement at institutional and grassroots levels.
