IJF Grand Slam in Lausanne

Lausanne hosted Switzerland’s first-ever IJF Grand Slam, bringing together elite judo alongside Para Judo, Deaf Judo and Adapted Judo.

The event provided a strong platform for promoting inclusion and the values of Fair Play. The integration of Adapted Judo and Deaf Judo highlighted the importance of equal opportunities, respect and participation in sport for all — principles that are at the heart of the Fair Play movement.

The President of the International Fair Play Committee was also present at the event. The visit provided an opportunity to continue important meetings and discussions with representatives of the IOC, International Federations and other members of the international sports community, focusing on shared priorities and further cooperation in promoting the values of sport, inclusion and Fair Play.

The Grand Slam also offered an opportunity to connect with key partners and colleagues from across the international sports community in Lausanne, one of the world’s major centres for sport and the Olympic Movement.
