Thomas Bach received the Fair Play Award from Jenő Kamuti
Dr. Jenő Kamuti, the Honorary President of the International Fair Play Commission, personally presented the World Fair Play Award to Thomas Bach, the outgoing President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in Lausanne.
As is known, the International Fair Play Commission held its gala in Budapest on May 20, after our country achieved worldwide success by having the UN General Assembly, at the initiative of the government, unanimously declare May 19 as World Fair Play Day.
At the Budapest event, Thomas Bach, the outgoing President of the International Olympic Committee in June, received the International Fair Play Career Trophy Award. In his absence, he thanked for the award in a video message.
Jenő Kamuti, former President of CIFP, presented the award to Olympic champion fencer Thomas Bach at the IOC headquarters in Lausanne on the morning of June 6, and then met with the recently elected new IOC president, Kirsty Coventry, for a friendly chat.
