Fair Play on the horizon of snowboarding
The World Snowboard Federation /WSF/ gathered in Zurich from 20 to 22 September for its annual Technical Meeting, bringing together board members, national federations and partners, including International Fair Play Committee, to set the course for the coming season.

Over three days event, delegates discussed the development of youth competitions, grassroots initiatives, governance reforms and the challenges of climate change for the sport.

WSF President Dominic Kuhn opened the meeting with a detailed report (photo above), followed by a Fair Play presentation by Gabor Deregan, CIFP Executive Director. The presentation included a brief history of Fair Play, exemplary acts, the CIFP Awards and the current operation of the organization.

The Fair Play workshop took place on the second day. As WSF media reported "One of the most inspiring moments of the Technical Meeting was the session dedicated to Fair Play." The conversation was led by WSF Integrity Commissioner Norbert Rubicsek and Gabor Deregan from CIFP. His participation marked the beginning of an official cooperation between WSF and IFPC to strengthen ethical and educational aspects of snowboarding. The initiative will be officially launched during the 2025/26 season, with the first Snowboard Fair Play Award Ceremony planned for a major WSF event.
