The Belgian presidency of the EFPM was inaugurated, on June the 1st 2022, in the hemicycle of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation’s Parliament, a highly symbolic venue in terms of democracy and values. A Joyous Entry placed under the high patronage of their Majesties the King and Queen of Begium.

Normandy hosted the 19th Gymnasiade in mid-May. Under the auspices of ISF, which is one of the cooperative partners of CIFP, student athletes aged 16-18 competed in 20 sports. Some 3700 competitors from 69 countries competed in the eight-day competition.

At the start of the Giro d’Italia in Budapest, French cyclist Romain Bardet received the Fair Play Award from Dr. Jenő Kamuti, President of the International Fair Play Committee. 

ISTANBUL- Turkey's National Olympic Committee's Fair Play commission chaired by Erdoğan Arıpınar (EFPM Honorary Member, CIFP board member) will be held every two years to activate 1500 sports clubs in Turkey both in Fair Play and in the development of Olympic sports, after Turkey's success in Olympic sports in the last Tokyo Olympics.

The International Fair Play Committee and the FIE have been working together for many years to promote the Fair Play values to young competitors and their coaches. This year, future fencers in both age groups competed in Dubai from 1-10 April.
