ATHENS, May 18, 2012 - David Beckham was on hand to help collect the 2012 Olympic flame for London, but even he was upstaged by the weather in Athens.

The Greeks joked “It was to make our guests feel at home.”

SOCHI, May 15, 2012 - The rink of the new "Iceberg" Skating Palace was opened for test skating after 100 days of preparations. Students of the winter sports school in Sochi, the Olympic champion and Sochi 2014 Ambassador, Tatyana Navka have had the first chance to test the new ice rink. The first test events - the Grand prix figure skating final - will take place at "Iceberg" in December 2012 and in February 2014 the venue will host Olympic competitions in figure skating and short track.

ANCIENT OLYMPIA, May 11, 2012- The Olympic flame began its journey to London with a simple but moving ceremony in Olympia.Classical actress Ino Menegaki kindled the flame from the rays of the sun in a ritual little changed since the first torch relay in 1936, though it wasn't entirely without a hitch.

The CIFP held a sequence of events – Council meeting, Conference, General Assembly and the annual World Fair Play Awards Ceremony- between April 26-28 in Budapest and Gödöllő, Hungary.

We learned with regret the death of Dr. Elisabeth Ferris, a friend, a Council member of CIFP. We at CIFP would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Ferris, who contributed a great deal to our endeavors as well.
